By sites of the Battle of the Ebro
Between July and November in 1938, Terra Alta was the scene of the tragic events of the Battle of the Ebro, one of the hardest events of Spanish Civil War. Today, eighty years later, Pàndols and Cavalls ranges still preserve the memory of soldiers who fought and citizens who lived the conflict from the rear. This route, which includes several paths with short and technical section - crosses the old village of Corbera d'Ebre, almost completely destroyed by bombs. It also allows to visit trenches of level 402, the monument "Terç de Montserrat" of Vilalba dels Arcs or hill "Coll del Moro" of Gandesa, from where General Franco led the battle. The route climbs to level 705 of Pinell de Brai, a viewpoint with magnificent views of Pàndols and Cavalls ranges and where they are put·the monument of "Lleva del Biberó". All rooms are appropriate for the visit.
