"Gran Volta" a la Terra Alta
A circular route about 170 km to see all towns of the region of Terra Alta. In fact, this is a route that combines mainly dirt tracks, paths and sections of the Greenway.. A mixed circuit with different difficulty levels and a variety of landscapes. The path, for example, follows part of the route of Pau, linked to spaces of the Battle of the Ebro. It also borders the Natural Way of Matarranya and Algars, two rivers that draw the administrative border between Catalonia and Aragon. Besides, allows plan between fields, mainly vineyards, olive trees and almond trees, with views about Roques of Benet located in the northern foothills of the Natural Park of Ports. The "Gran Volta" of Terra Alta goes down valleys of the river Estrets and allows for discover chapels and town centre of picturesque small towns with an architectural heritage that dates from medieval and Renaissance age.
